Youth Baseball

My oldest son moved up to Pee Wee baseball in the city park league. This is the first time I haven't been his coach in a long time.

This is a good thing. Not because I don't like to coach him, but it was time for him to hear a new voice.

The coach who "drafted" him is very knowledgeable - far more then me. The best part is that Caleb is listening to him. Who knows if he will turn in to a ball player, but as long as he continues to listen to his new coach, he will learn the fundamentals.

Baseball is a simple game but it sure is a difficult game to execute well.
I strongly believe that things work out for a reason. Although I didn't know his coach before Caleb was drafted, and didn't know any of the kids on the team, I believe he ended up where he was meant to be.

Here's to a good season - and maybe a base hit or two.
